A: Our document storage and retrieval system (EZ-Scan™) enables users to define document types and locations (drive and path), then organizes documents by patient number. The documents are stored electronically for easy search and retrieval.
A: Fax devices are either interfaced as printers and controlled by the Windows® OS, or utilize the fax API to send faxes directly from within AR-Express.
A: AR-Express is a Windows®-based application supported on all current Windows® platforms. It can be installed in a cloud environment allowing for access through Remote Desktop Services.
A: AR-Express can be accessed through Remote Desktop Services for external sites to remotely use the system.
A: Yes, you can host in-house on your own servers, or co-locate on remotes using Remote Desktop Services or Citrix.
A: We used Microsoft® Visual Foxpro to develop the core products, and all new features are being added as .NET apps using Visual Studio and C#.
A: The database being yours, and Microsoft® SQL Server®, can be queried directly, or any of our reports will create Excel® spreadsheets. We do not recommend pushing data due to the internal complexity of the data structures and linkages.
A: We are a Microsoft® Solutions provider and developer and have based our system on Microsoft® SQL Server® (currently ver. 2012).
A: We currently have not developed an API for access to our system.

A: Yes, our 837 electronic claim format works with numerous clearing houses. Our choice is Trizetto.com, but we can develop interfaces for others as needed.
A: Yes, AR-Express can do instant eligibility by patient from the patient data entry form, or in batch mode before submitting claims.
A: Yes, the AR-Express system is designed for high levels of user controls that prevent claims from being released unless all requirements are met. There are even table-driven ‘business rules’ that can be payer-specific.
